Why It's Time to Sell Google Stock

Google has just announced a new policy that they will not anonymize search requests for 18-24 months. There were a number of reasons given, including "complying—and anticipating compliance—with possible data retention requirements" -- presumably from the government.

With user privacy compromised, its likely that many Google searchers will look to other means of searching for information that won't allow them to be tracked.

Best California City For Criminals: San Francisco

More shootings in San Francisco have been tied to criminals who were out on the street because of San Francisco's lenient treatment of violent criminals. Indeed, San Francisco sends fewer people to state prison than any other county in California -- the rate of state incarceration is 10 times less than in San Diego county, for example. District Attorney Kamala Harris' office is responsible for prosecuting San Francisco's criminal suspects.

San Francisco Prosecutors Asleep at the Wheel

This week a San Francisco police officer is dead--killed by a 19 year old Norteno gang member whose criminal history is long indeed, but who has virtually never been prosecuted for his numerous crimes over the years.
