Are you a CSI Miami fan? Do you love or hate David Caruso (Lt. Horatio)? Well you don't have to be a fan of the show (or the acting) to enjoy any of the CSI Miami drinking games. There have been several versions of these CSI Miami drinking games circulating the web, but the LAist has a great version they call "The David Caruso Drinking Game."
The rules are simple and any beer qualifies for game play. Here is a sample of the game rules:
1. Drink a sip every time someone calls him "H" not "Horatio"
2. Take one swig every time H places his arms akimbo (on his hips).
3. Take two swigs when Horatio takes his sunglasses off for dramatic effect.
4. Likewise, take two swigs when Horatio puts his sunglasses on for dramatic effect.
To get the complete list of rules for "The David Caruso Drinking Game" check out the LAist.
OpenCola is a brand of cola unique in that the instructions for making it are freely available and modifiable. Anybody can make the drink, and anyone can modify and improve the recipe as long as they, too, license their recipe under the GNU General Public License.
Although originally intended as a promotional tool to explain open source software, the drink took on a life of its own and 150,000 cans were sold. The Toronto-based company Opencola became better known for the drink than the software it was supposed to promote. Laird Brown, the company's senior strategist, attributes its success to a widespread mistrust of big corporations and the "proprietary nature of almost everything". The company's marketing strategy has since taken a different turn and they no longer promote the soft drink on their web page.
