Recall on Cadbury Chocolate Eggs
Some of the popular Cadbury chocolate eggs, a favorite around Easter time, are being recalled because pieces of plastic were discovered in the product. Chocolate maker Cadbury Adams Canada, based in Toronto Canada, discovered the problem at a Hamilton production line. According to their spokesperson a small piece of plastic used to mould the eggs chipped and got into the product.
One person was injured slightly when the inside of their mouth was cut on a plastic shard. Although further instances are unlikely, the company is voluntarily recalling the product. Cadbury then ordered all its retailers across the country to remove the product from the shelves. The warning applies to 39 gram Cadbury Caramilk, Caramilk Maple and Caramilk Cafe chocolate eggs. Those eggs are sold individually wrapped or in liner packages containing three, six or 12 eggs.
