Katie Holmes Sex Scene
Director Jason Reitman claims that a projection error was to blame for the sex scene that was missing during the screening of Thank You for Smoking. At first, the director thought that maybe fox had cut the scene. Others speculated that Tom Cruise could have had something to do with the missing scene.

After further investigation, the error was indeed caused by the projector. Because the sex scene was at the end of one of the film reels, the error is the most likely explanation. Reitman admits that the projection error theory sounds a bit like a cover-up, but insists that the malfunction was indeed the cause of the missing sex scene starring Katie Holmes.
Thank You for Smoking with the sex scene is slated for limited release March 17.
