Beyonce Knowles is receiving plenty of hate mail from animal rights activists who are angered by the stars fashion label House of Dereon's use of fur. The stars fashion label is using chinchilla, rabbit and mink fur. Beyonce has further angered the animal rights protestors when she wore a pink mink to "The Pink Panther" movie premiere last week.
The fur jacket pictured here is a chinchilla jacket, by Beyonces clothing line House of Dereon, and sells for over $900. House of Dereon also sells vests with detachable rabbit fur collars in addition to other fur fashions.
According to a record company source, "Activisits have threatened to dump carcasses at our offices or Beyaonce's home." In addition to hate mail, plenty of unpleasant phone calls are being made. A spokesperson from the anti-fur group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) says, "She is profiting from the most violent and bloody industry on Earth and should be ashamed."

I don't see why things like these are happening in the 20th century. This woman obviously feels her celebrity title entitles her to think of animals as fashion products. I'm not one of those vegans who think eating animals is wrong, but killing simply for the purpose of looking good is wrong. This woman should have her celebrity status revoked if she continues to act this way.

I hate Byouncen Knowels is guts. I wish she would drop dead and go steat to hell. I really thoght that the thired Audtin Pawers movie Goldmember suked the big ones. I think the spy shageed me was ten times better. If they make a forth Austin Pawers movie I really hope they don't bring Byoucen bake. I really hope that they leafe her out for good and I mean for good, just like they did with Heather Grheam.

I think it is completely ridiculous how some of you are coming to Beyonce's defense. Wearing fur is very cruel and someone like Beyonce should be setting a better example by picking a more humane wardrobe. There are absolutely no excuses for wearing fur this day and age. We have so many choices when it comes to clothes, why do we need to brutally kill animals simply for fashion? Those of you who say it's okay to wear fur, I have a question for you, would you wear your dog or cat? Probably not, so why would you kill another animal for its fur? So for those of you who are ignorant to the cruelty of the fur industry, why don't you educate yourselves and start looking into how they treat these animals that are killed for their fur before you start making stupid comments.

Perhaps you should visit her website and look under the Gift section, she sells a Mink Teddy Bear for $50.00.
So, the skinning of an animal alive, for a freaking teddy bear is A-OK in your pathetic books? Please, learn to respect wildlife and stop feeding into consumerism, mindless puppets. It's obvious some of you have never seen the cruelty that animals face because you are all too busy catering to these people in Hollywood.

Yeah, we should totally be able to wear whatever we want! Speaking of which, winter's almost here and my neighbor's dog's coat is looking mighty warm. Hey all you "we should wear whatever we want" people, come help me bash its skull in with a bat! Once it's barely conscious but still able to feel pain, let's skin it alive and dump it's body in a trash can where it will die a slow and agonizing death. I'll let you make mittens out of its big fluffy ears!
And yeah, don't criticize Beyonce! She's a rich celebrity, and therefore we should all care more about hurting her feelings than whether or not thousands upon thousands of innocent animals have to endure excrutiating pain, torture and death each year so that she can look pretty and make even more money than she already does.

There are so many alternatives to fur. We, as a society, are thinking backwards if we still accept fur as a regular piece of fabric. Beyonce has fallen into the pit of greed. I believe that her fans encouraged her to create her own clothing but I am also sure few to none expected her to use fur in her collection. I know all this and I am only 20! Animals don't have a voice, humans do. They count on us, caring and compassionate people to speak up and defend them. We do not own them, neither do designers, circuses, or butchers. It isn't their fault evolution hasn't given them a voice. Because we are evolutionary more advanced than them, should that mean we must let them suffer--or lend them a helping hand?

but she made the wrong decision in putting
animals in her new clothing line. why she couldnt use FAKE fur at the most? i loved her until she made this decision. how would she like it if she got skinned for a DAMN coat. this outrages me. and yes i AM a vegetarian AND animal
