Apple Macintosh (Mac) Virus / Trojan: latestpics.tgz

MacRumors is reporting that on February 13th someone posted a link claiming to have screenshots of the latest Leopard Mac OS C 10.5. The link was to a file named "latestpics.tgz". The file decrompessed into a Mac trojan, a Unix executable file disguised as a JPG image.

According to MacRumors, the app can self through iChat, however, the only way that your computer can be infected by this trojan is if you opent latestpics.tgz file and decompress it, then double click on the file. In addition, most are prompted to enter an Admin password.
