Capote Provokes In Cold Blood Book Sales

capoteThe Oscar nominated film Capote, which tells the story of gay writer Truman Capote's creation of the "nonfiction novel" In Cold Blood is sending film audiences to buy that very book. The "tie-in" edition of In Cold Blood is currently in its third printing. Barnes & Noble claims book sales for the title are up almost 30% from last year and it was the top selling book for Barnes and Noble in October 2005.

MacRumors is reporting that on February 13th someone posted a link claiming to have screenshots of the latest Leopard Mac OS C 10.5. The link was to a file named "latestpics.tgz". The file decrompessed into a Mac trojan, a Unix executable file disguised as a JPG image.

Bond Girl Eva Green

Daniel Craig who has been named the new James Bond will star opposite Eva Green in Casino Royale, the next Bond movie. Eva Green, whose credits also include Bernardo Bertolucci's erotic drama The Dreamers, will play the role of the beautiful seductress Vesper Lynd. Eva Green is one of France's most accomplished young actresses. Green's screen credits also include roles in Jean-Paul Salom''s French-language film, Arsene Lupin, and Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven, with Orlando Bloom and Liam Neeson.

Bond's nemesis, Le Chiffre, will be played by Mads Mikkelsen. Also in this film's cast is Jeffrey Wright who will play the role of Felix Leiter. Casino Royale will be directed by Martin Campbell and is expected to premiere in November.

Nick Lachey Seeks Spousal Support from Simpson

Nick Lachey is hoping to receive spousal support from Jessica Simpson according to divorce papers. Lachey is also seeking part of Simpson's earnings since the separation and he wants his jewelry returned. The court papers were filed Friday in response to Simpson's divorce filing on December 16th.

House of Dereon Chinchilla Fur JacketBeyonce Knowles is receiving plenty of hate mail from animal rights activists who are angered by the stars fashion label House of Dereon's use of fur. The stars fashion label is using chinchilla, rabbit and mink fur. Beyonce has further angered the animal rights protestors when she wore a pink mink to "The Pink Panther" movie premiere last week.

The fur jacket pictured here is a chinchilla jacket, by Beyonces clothing line House of Dereon, and sells for over $900. House of Dereon also sells vests with detachable rabbit fur collars in addition to other fur fashions.
