Mexican Wine
When you think of wine regions, Mexico is not the first to pop into mind. Mexico has traditionally been known for their hot tequilas and cold beers. But some Mexican regions are beginning to return to their original "New World" roots in wine making.
Three valley regions near Ensenada Mexico are home to more than twenty wineries. Although production is small at under 2 million cases a year, wines produced in this region have won more than 20 medals at wine fairs across the globe.
Wine production in Mexico started its comeback in the 1970's. Since that time much time and money has been invested into this reviving wine region that has a bright future.
