Jet Blue Crash Landing

Jet Blue Crash VideoThe drama unfolded over a couple of hours Wednesday evening when a Jet Blue airplane pilot discovered on takeoff that the plane's front wheel was damaged and stuck in a sideways position.

According to JetBlue spokesman Bryan Baldwin, Jet Blue Flight #292 left Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California at 3:17 p.m. bound for JFK International Airport in New York. Much of America watched as the plane came slowly down to the runway, nose tipped up, and touched down lightly as flames errupted under the cockpit. Under the circumstances, the plane's pilot executed a perfect landing and slowly came to a stop on the runway. No injuries were reported.

While the pilot should be congratulated for a job well done, The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident, NTSB spokesman Paul Schlamm said. See more details and the Jet Blue Crash Video.
